Here Comes the Breeze

[History Students]
We will be taking a field trip to the Guggenheim with the art students next Friday. On Thursday you will select an artist or piece presently shown there as your focus and on Monday I expect a four hundred word historical summary on the topic you chose. This will not be included on your next exam.

I have been meaning to speak with you about something-- Scott and I discussed briefly trying to do something to show the children (both presently in our care and recent graduates) how proud we are of their accomplishments. I was hoping you might have some ideas or insight on how we could do this. Ultimately, I would hope to facilitate feelings of comfort between them and the staff, so they might come to us when opportunities or trouble come their way.

If anyone not residing at the mansion wants a pie for Thanksgiving, let me know as soon as possible-- otherwise they will not arrive in time.

I will be doing some holiday decorating today if anyone would like to assist. Nothing overtly religious, although people are more than welcome to add those touches if they so wish.

The kitchen will be off-limits tonight as I will be making pie crusts as part of Thanksgiving preparation. As such, I will need to know who will be staying here for Thanksgiving-- to be conscious of dietary restrictions and things of that nature.

[Freshmen & Sophomores]
I have planned a history exam. It is not my wish to burden you unnecessarily, so I leave the choice to you: would you prefer to take the test on Wednesday before the long weekend or the Monday after? I know there are pros and cons to both but the popular vote will win. Please let me know where you stand by Tuesday at 7am, so I can announce the test date in class.

Madison, it is your decorating assistance I am most interested in. You were quite helpful in setting up for Halloween. Assuming you do not have a previous engagement, of course.

The children are missing.

I took it upon myself to check with the Professor after none were present for dinner and he confirmed they were not on the grounds. I then called the Young X-Men, X-Factor and X-Force to check if perhaps they had made an impromptu visit to one of our satelite teams. Both X-Factor and X-Force confirmed they were not present; however, I have had no response from the Brownstone.

The Professor will be checking for their signals with Cerebro shortly. If anyone has heard anything, please let me know. I am quite concerned.

Update:
Despite searching for some time, Charles has thus far been unable to locate any of their signals. I believe this means they are either being shielded by some sort of psychic wall or... lost somewhere Cerebro does not reach. I refuse to believe the worst. I would like to take a team to search as soon as we have a lead.

Who will accompany me?

I have been doing my best to clean up all messes hurricane Irene left around the grounds but, if I have missed anything, please do let me know.

There will be a poker night at the Baxter Building this Saturday. I am considering attending. If I do, would you like to accompany me? Hank, Jean and Scott have also been invited, as well as a number of Avengers, so I would expect you to be on your best behavior.

I have practiced yoga for some time now and I am curious-- would anyone be interested in participating in weekly yoga sessions? If yes, I could invite a local yoga instructor here or perhaps lead them myself if we are concerned with privacy.

At any rate, Wednesday evenings I will be going into Salem Center to attend my own yoga class starting this week. Anyone is welcome to come with me, though this is not a beginners class and you will need to bring your own mat.

I find myself still a bit wound up after our adventures in the past. I thought perhaps some sort of spa treatment might help me relax some. Care to join me?

I realize that with all the recent craziness, some of the wedding stuff may have fallen by the wayside, hence this message. So, first things first-- you have both purchased your dresses, yes? Alterations can take up to a month to be completed, so if you have not gone in for your fitting yet, please do it ASAP! Because we all know how things can just "come up" in our line of work.

Meanwhile, plans for the bachelorette party continue. I believe the weekend before (Sept. 9-11) would be best. That way, if any of us overindulge, we will have plenty of time to recover. Her mother and sister are planning on coming with us-- are there others we should invite? Perhaps others who are of age at the Institute? Or is keeping the gathering small better? I would appreciate input as this is my first time planning or attending such a party.

Also, I have confirmed with Jean's mother that the bridal shower will be on August 27th. Despite my continued offers to assist, she assures me she has everything taken care of. It's a surprise, so please do not mention it to Jean. I realize it's quite a distance to travel for one day; however, I am certain at least one of the teleporters would be willing to assist if you are free.

I have made juice pops for any interested parties. They are currently in the freezer and, I believe, a nice respite from the heat.

Bridesmaid dresses: we need to pick one. Obviously, I have included Jean, so she may voice her opinion as it is her wedding, but I would like to hear preferences from the others in the bridal party, as well.
